Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, Yet Not a Word Was Spoken is an enlightening and thought-provoking work.

Diana has an extraordinary ability to ‘get inside the head’ of an animal and show us what it is thinking … disconcertingly, often about us. The book shows the reader that all animals are individuals, each with its own unique personality. A fact which, when coupled with how they are often treated—even with the noblest of aims, strikes an uncomfortable chord tinged with shame. It is a thoroughly good read and one that encourages us to examine our own dealings with ‘non-human animals’ and perhaps make a change.
