Promoting understanding
and compassion for animals

About the animals

Living with an animal is like music to the soul. So my life could really be described as a symphony.

Tallara Park is home to many animals. Some of them have huge egos while others are quiet and unassuming. One thing is certain, they are all individuals and have their own unique personalities.

To live amongst them is a joy and I feel very blessed.
Like my children, they are pure and uncomplicated. They do not try to be someone they’re not and they accept me for who I am. They have likes and dislikes and they have relationships between each others. My family and I are part of this wonderful thriving community, we are not above it nor do we own it and we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

I love the way Marlee or dog wants to play with all of the other animals but no one wants to play with him. I love the way you can hug and squeeze Kitty our Shetland Pony and she can never get enough. I love the way that Duke and Blaze, our two old horses are both in love with the same woman (Summer) and are insanely jealous of each other.  I love how Summer really doesn’t need a ‘man’ and is quite happy to go off to Pony Club and leave them behind. I love the way Oggie our cat, lies in bed all day then gets up at 2.30 every afternoon and beats up Marlee. I love the way Marlee looks forward to this because he thinks it’s a game.  I love it how Percy our peacock wandered in one day and thought this was a cool place and decided to stay.

I hope you enjoy reading about all of the animals. You can keep up to date with their latest exploits on the blog and please feel free to ask me any questions you may have.
